Shaker Bench Design PlansDimensions: 17 1 2 high 13 1 2 deep 44 long A visit to the Shaker Museum in Hancock, Massachusetts inspired this bench. I made the bench with red Grandis Simply because I had a few boards in the shop and thought I might paint it. In retrospect, I wish I had used nicer wood, like cherry or walnut. Runs much larger than I expected. I am 5’4”& 136 pounds. Usually wear a medium or large in some knit tops. So I need to stitch the side seams in hopes it will fit better. I like the weight and softness of the fabric, but really disappointed in the too large armholes. Unwearable for me until I
can sew new side seams.
