There is a metal side zipper and it closes up the front with hooks and eyes and a snap. The snap has some loose threads. One belt loop has come unstitched. Good condition with light wear. There may be some loose or missing beads.

This is my favorite book in this series so far. The complexity in this story makes it a great book to teach many different skills to students. It also resonates with older elementary students. I used this in my 4th grade class to discuss what makes someone cool. It lead to great conversation and one of the messages from the book being that a true cool bean is kind to friends. We also discussed the importance of being kind because you never know the impact a kind act that may appear small can have on the recipient. The last lesson we learned from this book was about the lasting impact of friendships, and that even though you may drift apart because of different interests you can still maintain a connection and be there for each other. This book is awesome. I love the illustrations and the wonderful story.
