Francois Louis Smart CapA replacement for the standard cap that comes packaged with Francois Louis Ligatures. Designed to fit around the beak of the mouthpiece without going around the ligature itself. Because of this it can be used with virtually any ligature! The inside of the cap is also fitted with a felt pad, to help regulate the humidity of the reed when left on the mouthpiece for short periods of time: When in a dry environment: Lightly moisten the pad with water.

When the package arrived it was in a very thin lightweight box that was crushed on one side. I thought for sure it was trashed. By chance…all was good. The lights are thin plastic but made very close to the original standard. They fit well on the car but the gasket needs to be tucked in around the edges. That material seems thin. The end result is actually a nice looking inexpensive light. Overall I am happy.
