Reproduction Straw Mattress PadReproduction German straw mattress pad. These are post war or wartime US mattress covers very similar construction to wartime German mattress pads. We added reproduction markings to get the right look. Made from heavy duty durable cotton material. There is an opening with ties at one end which is a style I have seen original examples of. More comfortable than a cot just stuff with your own bedding material. Some may have a US marking stamp as well.

I bought it because it looks good in the photos, but the fabric is very thin—you can almost see right through to your back. While that wouldn't be a problem if you have an athletic build, if you're like me—that is, average—I wouldn't recommend it. The fabric is very thin and not of particularly high quality. It might be worth it for the price, but again, the material is thin.
