Nitrile rubber can tolerate short term dry running of the sealing lip. The operating temperature range without failure of nitrile rubber is 40 to +100 C. This cable is easy to manage (bend, etc) because it has an aluminum core. But for that same reason it is harder to effectively crimp, even with a hydraulic crisper.
