This Maine cabochon cut amethyst is 11mm x 8. 7mm set on a tapered 14k yellow 2. 1mm gold band. Currently a Size 6, but can be slightly adjusted up or down.

Well build. Very solid for the price. I used #1 AWG cable. I don't like the pinch bolt connection. It tries to drill through the cable, and spreads the strands. Only about 2/3rds are pinched under the knurled bolt tip. I'll keep an eye on it, and if the connection heats up, I'll pull apart, straighten the strands, and tin the ends with solder so they don't crush much. See how that works. A concave, half circle piece under the pinch bolt would be better IMO. That would keep strands together as they crushed down.
